Pure Habitat was founded because we believe in the power of the individual to create great change in the world.  Each of us have many passions, be it for social justice and environmental responsibly or women’s rights and organic living. Yet, where we spend our money often supports companies or practices that are in conflict with our passions.  Pure Habitat was born to make it easier to shop inline with your values, beliefs and passions - making it easier for you as an individual to make a difference in the world.

Careful Screening

Behind Pure Habitat, you have a certified Building Biologist (me) carefully screening all the personal care, cleaning, bedding, bath and purification products. I was bedridden with multiple chemical sensitivities for months, so you can be sure I take healthy living very seriously. We believe that you should be able to read the ingredient list and know exactly what the ingredients are. We look beyond any claims of green, natural or organic and get to the heart of the companies we work with.

Beyond our careful screening for toxins we only work with companies that are transparent in their supply chain. We have found many amazing fair trade vendors to work with and any products that are manufactured in factories are committed to socially responsible production.
