My thoughts…
Wearing a bra not only restricts your lymph drainage – especially if your bra is too tight or does not fit properly, but it also can cause problems with stimulation of acupuncture points if you wear an underwire bra. When I came down with Multiple Chemical Sensitivity and Electromagnetic Hypersensitivity I noticed a huge difference in the way I felt when I was wearing one of my underwire bras vs. wearing one without underwire. It is hard to pinpoint your sources of ill health because there are so many actions that we take and so many toxins that we are exposed to that can attribute to decreased feelings of health. Yet, I have found that taking these first steps to remove what may seem like insignificant toxins and stresses on our bodies can lead to significant improvements in your health and well-being. I highly suggest that you read this article from Dr. Mercola…

This picture, taken from Yahoos most emailed pictures, shows Dr. Allen Parmet pointing to a chest scan of one of his patients who is believed to have contracted a lung disease as a result of exposure to the buttery flavoring in microwave popcorn. Makes you think twice about eating an entire bag of microwave popcorn! If I knew this before I went to college I don’t think I would have put on my freshman 15!

On associated press yesterday, was a great article about the increasing problem of pharmaceutical drugs tainting our drinking water and waterways. The article states that at least 271 million pounds of pharmaceuticals have been released into our waterways. And this has been done legally!
Scientists have thus far found trace amounts of pharmaceuticals ranging from antibiotics and anti-convulsants to mood stabilizers and sex hormones. Not only are these found in our water because of industry disposal methods, but perhaps we are the biggest contributors. We consume the drugs, excrete the drugs, and dispose of the drugs often times down the toilet. The drugs that we do dispose of, even though they end up in the landfill, can leech into the surrounding areas.
The most important paragraph from the article…
Researchers have found that even extremely diluted concentrations of drugs harm fish, frogs and other aquatic species. Also, researchers report that human cells fail to grow normally in the laboratory when exposed to trace concentrations of certain drugs. Some scientists say they are increasingly concerned that the consumption of combinations of many drugs, even in small amounts, could harm humans over decades.
I would highly recommend reading the rest of the article!
As I was sitting here this morning I looked up to see how much battery I had left on my laptop and it said 6:30! I did not buy this laptop for battery life, but wow! It did get me to thinking though about why I did buy this laptop. After being in this industry for awhile, one of the main sources of toxins that my clients forget about is in their electronics. And the list of chemicals can be disturbing. Did you know that in a typical computer you will find chemical such as these? [click to continue…]
